Understanding the Four Units: Days, Weeks, Months, and Years
Days are the most precise unit and the safest bet when accuracy matters most. Adding 30 days gives you an exact answer that never varies. July always has 31 days; February always has 28 or 29. Day-level calculations are unambiguous.
Weeks are just days multiplied by 7, which makes them equally precise. A two-week period is always exactly 14 days. Weeks are especially useful for recurring schedules — sprint planning, biweekly billing cycles, and appointment follow-ups.
Months are where nuance enters. A month is not 30 days — it's a calendar month, and they range from 28 to 31 days. "One month from today" means the same calendar day next month.
